AFRICA UNITE
How good and pleasant it would be before God and man
To see the unification of all Africans
So Africa unite 'cause the children wanna come home
Africa unite, 'cause we are moving out of Babylon,
And we are going to our father's land
So Africa unite for the benefit of your people
Africa you are my forefather cornerstone,
Unite for Africans abroad, unite for Africans a yard

ONE DROP
They made the world so hard, everyday we got to keep on fighting
Everyday the people are dying from hunger and starvation, lamentation
But read it in revelation, you will find your redemption
give us the teaching of His Majesty, for we no want no devil's philosophy

RIDE NATTY RIDE
But the stone that the builder refuse, shall become the head cornerstone
And no matter what they play, there is something they can never take away
you should know and not believe

AMBUSH IN THE NIGHT
Through political strategy they keep us hungry
When you go to get some food, your brother got to be your enemy
We are not ignorant I mean it,
Through the powers of the most high we keep on surviving.

WAKE UP AND LIVE
Life is one big road with lots of signs
So when you riding through the ruts,
Don't complicate your mind
Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy
Don't bury your thoughts,
Put your vision to reality
Rise mighty people there's work to be done
So lets do it little by little
Rise from your sleeping slumber
What's the use you live big today
Tomorrow you are buried in a casket
Wake up and live

CONCRETE JUNGLE
No chains around my feet, but I'm not free
life must be somewhere to be found
Instead of a concrete jungle where the living is the hardest
illusion, confusion

EXODUS
Men and people will fight you down when you see Jah (GOD) light
Open your eyes and look within
Are you satisfied with the life you are living?
We know where we are going, and we know where we are from.

POSITIVE VIBRATION
If you get down and you quarrel everyday
You are saying prayers to the devil, I say
Why not help another on the way
Make way for the positive day
ADMONITIONS OF WISDOM AND PROPHECIES OF HOPE;
Remembering Bob Marley
RECENTLY, the world marked the 21St anniversary of the the transition of Robert Nester Marley (Bob Marley), the Jamaican born reggae artist whose music did and continues to transcend most races, culture, and even religion. Many regard Bob Marley as a legend, yet there are those who barely knew him. Many simply think he was just another reggae artist without realizing how strongly he felt and how influential he was about the principles of equal rights and justice, as well as African unity. A brief look at some of his lyrics and words might aid one's comprehension of what this universal artist stood for.
STIFF NECKED FOOLS
The lips of the righteous, teach many
But fools die for want of wisdom.
The rich man's wealth is in his city
The righteous' wealth is in His Holy Place.
Destruction of the poor is in their poverty
Destruction of the Soul is vanity.

SO MUCH TROUBLE
The way earthly things are going,
Anything can happen.
You see men sailing on their ego trips
Blast off on their space ship
Million miles from reality
No care for you, no care for me.
So you think you found another solution
But it's just another illusion.

ZIMBABWE
Every man got the right to decide his own destiny
And in this judgment, there is no partiality
No more internal power struggle
To divide and rule could only tear us apart
In everyman chest, there beats a heart
So soon we will find out who is the real revolutionary
And I don't want my people to be tricked by mercenaries

TOP RANKIN
They don't want to see us come together
All they want us to do is keep on killing one another
to keep on fusing and fighting
Are you fooling one another
When you say you wanna come together

SURVIVAL
How can you be sitting there telling me that you care,
When every time I look around, the people suffer in everyway
In this age of technological inhumanity
Scientific atrocityatomic mis-philosophynuclear mis-energy
It is a world that forces lifelong insecuritywe got to survive.

BABYLON SYSTEM
We refuse to be what they wanted us to be
We are what we are, that's the way it's going to be
You can't educate I for no equal opportunity, talking about freedom

Deceiving the people continuallygraduating thieves and murderers
Tell the children the truth right now we have been taken for granted much too long
From the day we left the shores of our fatherland, we have been trampled upon
Now we know everything

COMING IN FROM THE COLD
Why do you look so sad and forsaken?
When one door is closed, don't you know another is open
Would you let the system make you kill your brother man?
Would you make the system get upon your head again?

The biggest man you ever did see was once a baby.

SMALL AXE
Why boasteth thyself, oh evil men,
Playing smart and not being clever?
If you are the big tree, we are the small axe,
And whosoever diggeth a pit shall fall in it.

NO WOMAN NO CRY
My feet is my only carriage, so I've got to push on through
But while I'm gone, everything's gonna be all right.

WAR (Quoting Emperor Haile Selassie's speech to U.N.)
Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior
Is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war
And until that day, the African continent will not know peace,
We Africans will fight, we find it necessary, and we know we shall win
As we are confident in the victory of good over evil.

NO MORE TROUBLE
We don't need no more trouble
What we need is love,
To guide and protect us all

EASY SKANKING
In this song, Bob Marley sings about the help of 'ganja' as it is popularly called.
Excuse me while I light my spliff
Oh lord I got to take a lift
From reality I just can't drift
That's why am staying with this riff

KEEP ON MOVING
Push on through, Lord I got to keep on moving,
Lord I got to get on downwhere I can't be found
Lord, they are coming after me
I know someday
The war will soon be over, and Africa will unite,
The children who liveth in darkness, have seen the great light

FAREWELL NOTE:
Bob Marley was an ardent Rastafarian. Even those who do not believe in Rastafarianism cannot in fairness deny the wisdom and truth contained in his messages. The fact is that many people are grateful for the inspiration he gave and continues to give by his legacy.

FOREVER LOVING JAH
No matter what rages changesthey put us through
We will never be blue, we will be forever loving Jah (God)
Cause only a fool lean upon his own misunderstanding
And what has been hidden from the wise and the prudent,
(Have) Been revealed to the babe and the suckling
Everything in life has got its purpose
Find its reason in every season

COULD YOU BE LOVED
Don't let them fool you, or even try to school you
We have got a mind of our own
Love would not leave us alone
Out of the darkness there must come out the light
The road to life is rocky, and you may stumble too
So while you point your fingers, someone else is judging you
Don't let them change you, or even rearrange you
We've got a life to live,
Only the fittest of the fittest shall survive, stay alive

REDEMPTION SONG
Emancipate yourself from mental slavery
For none but ourselves can free our minds
Have no fear for atomic energy
Cause none of them can stop the time.

CRAZY BALDHEADS
Didn't my people before me slave for this country
Now you look me with a scorn then you eat up all my corn
Brainwash education to make us the fools
Hate is your reward for our love, telling us of your God above.

RAT RACE
When you think it is peace and security
A sudden destruction, collective security for surety
Don't forget your history, know your destiny
For in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty
It's a disgrace to see the human race in a rat race.

TIME WILL TELL
Think you are in heaven but you are living in hell
Time alone, oh time will tell.

NATURAL MYSTIC
There's a natural mystic blowing through the air
If you listen carefully now you will hear
This could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer, many more will have to die
Don't ask me why. Things are not the way they use to be
I won't tell no lie, one and all got to face reality now

ONE LOVE
Let's get together and feel all right
Let them all pass all their dirty remarks
There's only one question I'd really love to ask
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner?
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?

As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end.
